ABOUT DRY ACHARI CHICKEN RECIPE

This is an north Indian dish made by south Indian mashala. It can be served as a side dish of Nun, Chapati ,Tandoori rooti, or even with Tawa rooti also, along with some onion salad it tastes delicious and it carries a very different flavors with it, spicy ,tangy and hot also..

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chicken(boneless & small piece)-500gm, Onion-1 big cut into slices,Ginger & Garlic paste- 2tbs ,Green chili- 5-6 piecs,Mustard Oil- 4-5 tbs,Yogurt- 50gm
  2. Turmeric powder-1tbs,red chili powder- 2tsp,Coriander powder-1 tbs,Cumin powder-1 tbs ,Achari Mashala- 2tbs hip full ,Any tangy pickle- 1tbs
  3. Bengali panchforon- 1tsp,Salt- as per taste,Sugar- 1tbs,Lime juice- half lemon

Instructions

  1. Wash the chicken & marinate it with salt and lime juice & keep it aside for atleast 30min ,, Now take a karai and add oil to it, allow it to warm ,, Add panchforn stir it ,, Now add onion fry a little ,,
  2. Add ginger& garlic paste & silted green chili..stir it ,, Add all the spices & salt including achari mashala and keep string ,, Now add chicken again stir until the oil get separated,, Now add yogurt mix it ,,
  3. Cover it for 5-6 min when chicken gets perfectly cooked open the lid mix it again,, On a high flame stir it when the chicken gets dry add pickle and sugar mix it,, wait for a min before turning the gas off,,
  4. If you want more tanginess you can add half a tsp of vinegar or lime juice while cooking the chicken ..
