ABOUT Stuffed idli RECIPE

It's an instant recipe. I always forget to prepare the batter and end up making rava dosa or rava idli.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups semolina
  2. 3/4 cup curd
  3. 4-5 finely chopped curry leaves
  4. 1 tbsp coriander leaves
  5. Water as required
  6. Eno 1 sachet
  7. Salt as per taste
  8. 2 boiled and mashed potatoes
  9. 1 medium chopped onion
  10. 1 tsp each of mustard seeds, urad dal and chana dal
  11. 1 tbsp oil
  12. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  13. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  14. 1 tsp amchur powder
  15. 1 tbsp chopped coriander

Instructions

  1. First mix rava, water, curd, salt, chopped coriander and curry leaves.
  2. Heat a wok. Add oil, mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, chopped onion and green chilies. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, amchur powder, salt, mashed potatoes, coriander leaves. Mix well. Let it cool. And make small round flat tikkis.
  3. Heat idli pan. Oil the plates. Add half tbsp of batter, then put the tikkis, again put half tbsp of batter on the top. Steam for 8 to 10 minutes. Serve with coconut chutney and ghee podi.
