ABOUT Brown Rice Dosa RECIPE

Crisp, yummy, healthy Brown Rice Dosas! Substitute brown rice for white Rice and relish a dosa that's good for the waistline without compromising on flavor, crispness, look or texture.

Ingredients Serving: 0

  1. 2 cups Brown Rice
  2. 1 cup Urad dal
  3. 1 tsp Methi dana / Fenugreek seeds
  4. 2 Red chillies
  5. Oil for roasting

Instructions

  1. Wash rice and dal well till water runs clear.
  2. Add Methi dana and soak overnight. Rinse the rice-dal-methi mixture well and grind everything together into a fine paste.
  3. Mix salt and place two red chilies on top. Put in a large bowl. Leave it for some time.
  4. Heat non-stick tawa over medium-flame and sprinkle few drops of water on the surface.
  5. Apply oil on the tawa. Take a ladle full of the batter and and pour it over the tawa surface. Swirl it as thin as possible.
  6. Apply oil on the edges of the dosa. Cook on both sides. Serve.
