Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 2 pkts Oreos (150gm pack
  2. 100 gm butter
  3. 4-5 bananas
  4. 2 cans condensed milk
  5. 1 tsp Cinnamon powder
  6. Whipping cream
  7. Sugar balls for garnishing ( optional)

Instructions

  1. To prepare the caramel, in a large pressure cooker, put the condensed milk tins, fill with water till the tins are totally submerged in it. See to it that the water level is above the tins.
  2. Pressure cook for two whistles on high heat, then lower heat and cook for twenty minutes more.
  3. Remove from heat, carefully remove tins from the cooker and let them cool completely.
  4. The condensed milk caramelizes and becomes like a toffee. This is called Dulce De Leche
  5. In the meantime, start with the base of the pie.
  6. Keep aside 4-5 Oreos, crush the rest of the Oreos.
  7. Add to them softened butter and mix well
  8. In your serving dish, put this mixture, spread and smoothen to make the base
  9. Refrigerate to let it set. (I put it in the freezer for about 10 minutes)
  10. Now whip the cream till stiff peaks form. Refrigerate.
  11. Chop the bananas
  12. Lightly beat the DDL (Dulce de Leche) or caramel
  13. Chop the oreos that had been kept aside to decorate on top of the whipped cream.
  14. Take out the oreo pie base, cover with caramel.
  15. Put a layer of sliced bananas
  16. Sprinkle some cinnamon powder
  17. Cover with whipped cream and garnish with chopped Oreos and sugar balls
  18. Refrigerate till needed.
