ABOUT Easy chutney powder RECIPE

Very tasty. Goes well with idli and dosa. Ideal for travelling and requires a very few ingredients.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Urad dal - 200gms
  2. Kashmiri red chilli powder - 2 tbsp or as per your taste
  3. Asafoetida - 1 tsp
  4. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take a thick bottomed kadai. Dry roast urad dal till golden brown on a low flame till you get a nice aroma.
  2. Now add asafoetida and red chilli powder and fry for 2 minutes.
  3. Set aside to cool the mixture.
  4. Take a grinder jar. Add salt and the cooled mixture and make a fine powder.
  5. Store in a clean air-tight container.
  6. No need to keep this chutney powder in fridge. Stays good for 2 months.
  7. Add coconut oil to the chutney while serving.
