Tried this recipe from chef venkatesh bhat samayal samayal show. \Slightly modified according to my preference.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Cooked Rice - 2 cup
  2. Raw banana -1
  3. Dry red chillies -2
  4. Kashmiri chillies -3
  5. Peppercorns - 1 tsp
  6. Coriander seeds - 3/4 tsp
  7. Bengal gram -1 tsp
  8. Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  9. Grated Coconut -2 tbsp
  10. Roasted peanuts -2 tbsp
  11. Mustard Seeds -1/2 tsp
  12. Urad dal -1/2 tsp
  13. Curry leaves -1 sprig
  14. Hing -1/4 tsp
  15. Gingelly oil - 2 tbsp
  16. Salt - to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the plaintain in water and peel the skin ,mash the banana and keep it aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a kadai roast the dry red chillies, kashmiri red chillies, coriander seeds, urad dal, bengal gram dal, peppercorns one by one. Once it cooled, grind to coarse powder.
  3. Heat remaining oil in a kadai add mustard seeds, urad dal, hing, curry leaves. Fry till dals are brown.
  4. Add grated coconut, roasted peanuts and grinded masala powder. Switch off the flame.
  5. Now add salt and cooked rice, mix it gently. Serve hot !!
