ABOUT Banana fingers RECIPE

This is fusion of a recipe my mother used to do with Jack fruit.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tender raw banana 4
  2. Chana dal(soaked) 1/2 cup
  3. Rice (soaked) 1/2 cup
  4. Garlic 10-12 flakes
  5. Turmeric 1/2 a tsp
  6. Garam masala 1/2 a tsp
  7. Whole chill 3-4
  8. Salt to taste
  9. oil to fry

Instructions

  1. Boil the banana with skin.
  2. Peel the bananas and cut them into thin slices length wise. Keep aside.
  3. Grind chana dal, rice, garlic whole chillies and turmeric together to a fine paste.
  4. Mix salt & garam masala to the paste.
  5. Adjust the consistency of the battery, it should be like pakodi batter.
  6. Heat oil in a kadhai. Dip banana slices in the batter and coat properly. Fry on medium heat till golden brown.
  7. Take out on absorbent paper.
  8. Serve hot with green chutney.
