ABOUT Chicken Biryani RECIPE

A great one pot aromatic rice preparation and a popular dish from the Indian cusine relished by all!

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Basmati rice - 2 cups
  2. Chicken cut to pieces - 500 gms
  3. green chillies - 2
  4. onions chopped - 1
  5. tomato chopped - 1
  6. coconut milk - 1 cup
  7. cardamom - 1
  8. cinnamon - 1 stick broken
  9. cloves - 3
  10. star anise - 1
  11. coriander leaves - a bunch
  12. salt as needed
  13. Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  14. oil - 3 tbsp
  15. turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  16. Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp
  17. bay leaves - 1
  18. garam masala - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash the chicken well and mix with salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder and keep aside.
  2. Wash and soak rice for 20 minutes.
  3. Take a pressure cooker and add oil. Once hot, add the spices and saute. Once done, add the chopped onions, green chillies and fry until translucent.
  4. Now add the ginger - garlic paste and fry.
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes and fry until mushy. Now add the chicken and add garam masala and little water (1/4 cup) and leave it to boil until done.
  6. Next drain the rice and add this to the chicken. Adjust the salt and add coconut milk to this.
  7. The water quantity should be 3 1/2 cups for 2 cups of rice. Accordingly adjust the quantity and add coriander leaves, close the lid and leave it for 2 whistles.
  8. Let the steam to escape and serve it hot with a bowl of raita.

Biryani is it is known is introduced to the world by Persians and due to it's distinct taste of rice with hot and tangy flavor along with soft meat, as an editor from cheap essay I simply could not resist
