Ingredients to make Sukhdi

  • jaggery 1 bowl
  • wheat flour 1 bowl
  • ghee 1 bowl
  • Milk 2 tbs

How to make Sukhdi

  1. Give a fine grate the jaggery with the help of knife or grater.
  2. Take 1 bowl jaggery
  3. Now keep ready flour ghee and milk.
  4. Take a heavy bottom kadhai add more then half ghee in it.
  5. When all ghee is melted add wheat flour and start stirring it.
  6. Roast the flour till it become pinkish or your kitchen filled with aroma of flour.
  7. Keep on medium flame and keep stirring.
  8. After that take it out from the flame and keep a side in plate.
  9. Now again take that kadahi and add ghee keep on flame till it melt properly.
  10. Now add grated jaggery and keep stirring it.
  11. Keep stirring till the jaggery become soft and mixed with ghee.
  12. Now you can see the bubbles starting in mixture.
  13. Now let it mix properly with ghee and the bubbles start to up in kadhai.
  14. When all jaggery start to up in kadai add flour which keep aside.
  15. Now mix well the flour with jaggery mixture. Add 2 tbs milk in it.
  16. And keep stirring continuously till the mixture become hard like halwa texture without any intervals.
  17. Now you can see that in kadai your mixture is leaving all sides and ghee.
  18. Now take a greased plate add the mixture in it.
  19. Now give cut to the sukhdi and leave it at room temperature for 6/7 minute.
  20. Now your sweet is ready to serve.

My Tip:

You can add some dryfruits and cardamom powder for rich taste. In summer you can take little less of ghee then winter .
