Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Raw banana - 3
  2. Oil for frying
  3. For batter:
  4. Chickpea flour - 1 cup
  5. Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp
  8. Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
  9. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the raw bananas and cut them into 1/2 inch thick pieces lengthwise.
  2. Take a mixing bowl and add all the ingredients listed for making batter and make a thick paste adding water little by little. The batter should be semi thick.
  3. Heat oil for frying.
  4. Dip the raw banana pieces in the batter and deep fry in oil.
  5. Serve hot with coconut chutney and relish as it is.
