Ingredients to make Caramel Syrup

  • 2 cups dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 and 1 cup water.

How to make Caramel Syrup

  1. Take the brown sugar and half cup water in a thick bottom pan.
  2. Boil with regular stirring.
  3. The syrup will start booking and bubbling
  4. It will turn very dark brown in colour.
  5. Add the remaining 1 cup water in a slow stream.
  6. Keep on whisking continuously.
  7. Once the water is added, let boil on medium flame for 3 more minutes.
  8. It will boil very vigorously so be careful and don't let kids stand near while doing this.
  9. Shut off the flame and let it cool down completely.
  10. It will thicken up on cooling.
  11. Store in clean, dry glass jar in fridge.
  12. Use as needed.

My Tip:

Add to your cakes, brownies, ice creams, banana shakes etc.
