Banana Malpua

Ingredients to make Banana Malpua

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp semolina
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 pinch of orange food color
  • Milk as required
  • ghee for Deep Frying
  • For sugar syrup :-
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cup water
  • 6 - 7 saffron thread
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • Some chopped pista and silver foil for garnishing

How to make Banana Malpua

  1. Take a pan boil sugar and water. Cook till one stirring consistency.
  2. Now add cardamom powder, saffron thread and mix well. Switch off the flame. And keep aside.
  3. Now take mashed banana. Flour, semolina, sugar, Milk in a mixing bowl.
  4. Make a thick batter in dropping consistency.
  5. Add 1 pinch of orange food color and mix well. Keep aside for 50 minute.
  6. Now heat ghee in frying pan and fry the batter by pouring 1-2 spoon batter into ghee.
  7. Cook both side till golden brown.
  8. Take it out and put in the prepared sugar syrup for some time.
  9. Banana malpua is ready garnish with chopped pista and silver foil, enjoy warm malpua with rabdi or on its own.

My Tip:

You can add some grated Khoya in the malpua batter.
