Very delicious sponge cake and decorate with confectionery as this is for kids birthday or you may pipe icing on the cake

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Maida 1-1/2 cups
  2. Milkmaid 1/2 tin
  3. Sugar as per taste as milkmaid is used
  4. Baking powder 1tsp
  5. Baking soda. 1/2 tsp
  6. Butter 2 tbsp
  7. Warm milk 2 tbsp or as required
  8. Vanilla essence Few drops
  9. Chopped Nuts as per taste

Instructions

  1. Here are the ingredients .
  2. Preheat wok on medium flame.
  3. Take lid which is fully cover the wok no gap is there otherwise heat comes out and cake does't bake evenly .
  4. Sift dry ingredients three four times to incorporate air in the flour .
  5. In another bowl mix milk maid, sugar as per choice, butter, vanilla essence till gets creamy texture.
  6. Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients evenly .
  7. Add required warm milk in the batter beat with help of balloon whisker nicely till gets ribbon like consistency for baking cake.
  8. Grease the baking tin with oil then sprinkle some maida flour rotate the tin so that flour stick on the surface of the baking tin .
  9. Pour the prepare cake batter in the dusted tin .
  10. Dab the baking tin on the working flour so that air bubbles comes out.
  11. Place the baking tin in preheated wok cover the lid of the wok and keep flame on high for 10 minutes then simmer the flame till baking process till cake is done. CAUTION - Don' t open the lid of the wok n keep watching the cake as vapour occurs and the cake become dense.
  12. After 35 minutes check cake with toothpick.
  13. Again close the lid and bake for 10-15 minutes more on simmer.
  14. Mine took 45 minutes to bake the cake in the wok.
  15. Turn off the flame after checking with toothpick when it comes out clean.
  16. Keep the cake in the closed wok for 15 minutes as the wok is still hot and baking process still going.
  17. After 15 minutes take the baking tin out of the wok and keep it on the wire rack.
  18. Let the cake cool for half an hour then slide the knife on the sides of the cake so that cake comes out neatly without any breaking.
  19. Demould the cake and cool it on the wire rack
  20. Cool the cake from both the sides.
  21. Cooling takes 2 hours from inside then cut the cake and enjoy you party:birthday::cake::chocolate_bar::tada::balloon:
  22. Decorate the cake as u wish I have made this cake for toddler so used colorful confectionery :chocolate_bar::candy::lollipop::birthday:
