ABOUT Maggi Nimbu Bhaath RECIPE

A variation of Lemon Rice made with Maggi as a change

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 double packet Maggi
  2. Water for cooking the noodles
  3. Oil for tadka 2 - 3 tbsps
  4. Rai 1/2 tsp
  5. jeera 1/2 tsp
  6. Asafoetida (hing) 1 pinch
  7. Curry leaves (kadipatta) 8 - 10
  8. Green chillies 2 - 3
  9. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  10. Juice of 1 lemon
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Coriander leaves for garnish
  13. Grated coconut 2 tbsps

Instructions

  1. Crush the noodles in the packet before removing
  2. Keep sufficient water to boil for cooking the noodles
  3. Add a tsp cooking oil to the boiling water and the noodles
  4. Cook al dente, drain and keep aside
  5. In a kadhai (wok), heat the oil
  6. Add the mustard seeds and hing after they splutter
  7. Add the jeera, curry leaves, turmeric powder and the chopped green chillies
  8. Switch off the gas. After a few minutes, add the cooked noodles, salt and lemon juice and mix carefully.
  9. Garnish with Chopped coriander and grated coconut and serve hot.
