ABOUT Vanilla Swiss Roll RECIPE

It is a sponge cake roll. Can be filled with whipped cream, jam, chocolate ganache etc.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. All purpose flour 120 gm
  2. Sugar 60 gm
  3. Egg yolks 6
  4. Egg white 6
  5. Oil 60 ml
  6. Milk 60 ml
  7. Cocoa powder 1 tsp
  8. Vanilla extract 1 tsp
  9. Vinegar 1 tsp
  10. Salt 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Beat egg yolk along with oil, milk and salt.
  2. Sift flour into the mixture. Mix.
  3. Add vanilla.
  4. Add vinegar to the egg whites and beat with an electric beater until soft peak forms.
  5. Add a portion of the meringue to the yolk mixture. Fold gently. Add the remaining amount of meringue and fold until everything combined.
  6. Prepare a flat baking trey with butter paper.
  7. Pour the mixture slowly. Keep aside some of the batter. Tab the trey a few times on your kitchen counter.
  8. Add cocoa powder to remaining batter. Mix. Pour into a pipping bag. Make some pattern on it as shown in the picture
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 120 for 25 min. Increase the tem to 150 and bake for another 8 min.
  10. Cool down completely before folding.
