Gulab Jamun made with mava and coconut has a very rich mouth-feel that gets well with festivite season.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Mawa : 1/2 cup
  2. Milk : As per the requirment to mix the dough
  3. Grated Coconut : 1/2 cup
  4. Sugar : 2 cups
  5. Ghee : 2 tsp
  6. Cardamom Powder : 1/2 tsp
  7. Pista and Badam: Minute grated both for stuffing and Garnishing
  8. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the instant gulab jamun mix along with mava, ghee and milk to make a soft dough. Cover it with a lid and set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Now make small balls from the dough
  3. Stuff the grated coconut inside the balls along with pista and badam.
  4. Cover them carefully and set aside
  5. Meanwhile in the other side prepare the sugar syrup add water to sugar and make a half thread sugar syrup
  6. Add the cardamom powder and turn off the flame
  7. Heat oil in a wide pan for deep fry the jamoons. Fry the jamoons on a low flame stirring them constantly for even browning. When they turn into golden brown color, remove from the oil and put them into the sugar syrup.
  8. Soak the jamuns in the sugar syrup for 30 minutes. Garnish with Pista and serve hot or chilled with Icecream
