Ingredients to make Gajar ka halwa

  • carrots peeled and grated 1/2 kg
  • ghee 3 tbsp
  • sugar 1 cup
  • Milk 1/2 ltr
  • Dry fruits as required
  • Powdered cardamom 1/2 tsp

  1. Wash, peel and grate the carrots
  2. Boil milk and carrots together till milk reduces to 75%
  3. Add sugar and ghee
  4. Cook on low flame till all moisture reduced or evaporated
  5. Now add dry fruits and serve hot or cold
