Makhane ki Kheer

Ingredients to make Makhane ki Kheer

  • makhane chopped 2 cups
  • milk 1 liter
  • saffron thread 4 to 6
  • chopped dry fruit 2 tbsp
  • sugar 2 tbsp
  • cardamom powder 1/2 tsp

How to make Makhane ki Kheer

  1. Boil the milk in a heavy bottom pan.
  2. On a low flame let the makhane cook in the milk.
  3. Once the makhane is more than halfway done, add a pinch of saffron, cardamom powder and chopped nuts.
  4. When the makhane is cooked completely and the kheer has thickened to the desired consistency, switch off the flame.
  5. Serve chilled or hot.
