Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Arvi/Colocasia 1/2 kg
  2. salt to taste
  3. black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  4. lemon juice 2 tbsp
  5. ajwain /carom seeds 2 tsp
  6. finely chopped green chili 4
  7. ghee or oil/olive oil 1 tbsp
  8. red chili powder 1 tsp
  9. garam masala powder as per taste or 1/4 tsp
  10. green coriander for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Wash the colocasia and boil in a pressure cooker for 10 minutes, cool, peel and cut into twos.
  2. Marinade with lemon juice, salt and black pepper powder for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan, crackle the carom seeds, saute the green chili. Add the marinated arvi, red chili powder and garam masala powder.
  4. Stir and mix all the ingredients, cook it for 2 minute, turn off the heat.
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves, serve hot with paratha or chapati.
