ABOUT Maggi Sizzler RECIPE

A treat for all maggi lovers - 4 Maggi flavoured dishes in one. Sizzlers are everyone’s favourite and what more one wants if it’s their favourite yummy maggi noodle flavoured sizzler. A combination of Maggi potato patty, Maggi rice, Maggi masala flavoured stir fried veggies and Maggi masala flavoured tomato-onion sauce, all of it served piping hot on a sizzler plate. Sounds yum…right?? Serve this delectable sizzler for dinner along with your favourite beverage.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For Maggi Potato Patty
  2. 1 big-sized potato, boiled, peeled and mashed
  3. 1 Green chili, finely chopped
  4. an inch piece of ginger, grated
  5. 1 onion, finely chopped
  6. ½ teaspoon maggi tastemaker
  7. ¼ teaspoon coriander powder/dhania powder
  8. ¼ teaspoon jeera/cumin powder
  9. ¼ teaspoon garam masala powder
  10. ¼ teaspoon chaat masala
  11. Salt to taste
  12. ½ maggi noodles packet (35 grams)
  13. 1 teaspoon oil for shallow frying patty
  14. For Maggi Rice
  15. ½ cup cooked rice
  16. 1 packet maggi noodles (70 grams) with tastemaker
  17. 1 Teaspoon oil
  18. 1 Onion, chopped
  19. 1 Tomato, chopped
  20. ½ carrot, peeled and chopped
  21. ¼ Cup Peas
  22. ¼ teaspoon red chilli powder
  23. ¼ teaspoon garam masala powder
  24. 1 Cup water
  25. Salt to taste
  26. For the Maggi Masala flavoured Tomato-Onion Sauce
  27. ½ teaspoon oil
  28. 1-2 garlic cloves, chopped
  29. 1 Onion, chopped
  30. 1 Tomato, chopped
  31. 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  32. ¼ teaspoon black pepper powder
  33. ¼ teaspoon maggi masala tastemaker
  34. Salt to taste
  35. For Stir Fried Vegetables
  36. 1 teaspoon butter
  37. 1 carrot , cut into 1 inch strips
  38. 10-15 french beans , cut into 1 inch pieces
  39. maggi tastemaker, to sprinkle
  40. Salt to taste
  41. For Assembling Sizzler
  42. 1-2 teaspoon oil/butter
  43. few lettuce/cabbage leaves

Instructions

  1. For Maggi Potato Patty
  2. Cook ½ packet maggi noodles in 105 ml water with a pinch of salt. Keep aside.
  3. Take boiled and mashed potato in a deep bowl.
  4. Add chopped green chilli, grated ginger, chopped onion and all the dry spice powders - coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, chaat masala, maggi tastemaker and salt.
  5. Mix well and form into a patty shape.
  6. Coat the patty with cooked maggi noodles and press lightly.
  7. Heat oil on a flat non-stick tava. Put the patty on it and shallow fry the patty from both sides till slightly golden.
  8. For Maggi Rice
  9. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add chopped onions and saute till onions turn transparent.
  10. Then add tomatoes and saute for 1-2 minutes.
  11. Now add peas, carrots, maggi noodles and 1 cup water.
  12. Cook for about a minute and then add red chilli powder, garam masala powder, maggi tastemaker and salt. Mix well.
  13. Once noodles gets completely cooked, add cooked rice and mix well. Remove from flame. Set aside.
  14. For the Maggi Masala flavoured Tomato-Onion Sauce
  15. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add finely chopped onions and garlic. Saute till onions turn transparent and raw smell of garlic and onion goes away.
  16. Now add chopped tomato and cook till tomatoes becomes pulpy.
  17. In the end add tomato ketchup, maggi tastemaker, black pepper powder and salt. Set aside.
  18. For Stir Fried Vegetables
  19. Heat butter in a non-stick pan and add carrots and french beans. Sprinkle salt and maggi tastemaker and stir fry the vegetables until al dente. They should not be over cooked.
  20. Once done, keep the vegetables aside.
  21. Assembling the Sizzler
  22. Heat sizzler plate over an open flame till they are red hot. Once the plate is hot, place it on a wooden tray.
  23. Grease the plate with a little butter, place a couple of cabbage leaves or lettuce leaves on the plate. Place the prepared Maggi Potato Patty on one side, Stir Fried Vegetables in the center and Maggi Rice on the other side.
  24. Top it with Maggi Masala flavoured Tomato-Onion Sauce and more butter and serve immediately along with the sizzling effect.
