Famous recipe of mine. You will love it I made this without onion.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 1/2 kg white chana
  2. 2 tsp salt
  3. 6 cups of water
  4. For roasting
  5. 3 tsp coriander dry
  6. 3 tsp jeera cumin seeds
  7. 1 piece of cinnamon
  8. 4 brown cardamoms
  9. 4 tsp anar dana
  10. 4 tsp amchur
  11. Black pepper a few
  12. For gravy
  13. 3 Onions
  14. 2 cloves of garlic
  15. 4 green chilli
  16. 50 gm Ginger
  17. Ghee or oil
  18. For garnishing
  19. Boiled potatoes, onions and tomato rings

Instructions

  1. Soak chanas in a pressure cooker over night
  2. In the morning boil by 3 or 4 whistles or till tender and water evaporates
  3. Till that roast all dry ingredients on tawa till black but not too burn
  4. Grind them keep aside
  5. Grate gravy ingredients
  6. Fry gravy in 2 tbsp of ghee or oil till brown
  7. Now mix dry masala in onion mixture. Mix well
  8. Pour this mixture on boiled chanas
  9. Cook and mix nicely until water dried
  10. While serving decorate with boiled potatoes onion and tomato rings and green coriander
