ABOUT King Fish Fry Recipe: RECIPE

A simple, crunchy yet delicious fish fry recipe which teams well with dal or rasam rice. I call these simple delights of life.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. King fish - 4 slices
  2. Curry leaves - 2 sprigs (used while frying)
  3. chilly powder - 2 tsp
  4. semolina - 1/2 tsp
  5. ginger garlic paste - 1/4 tsp
  6. pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  7. Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
  8. Tandoori colour - 1/8 tsp (optional)
  9. Juice of one small lemon
  10. oil for frying.
  11. salt - according to taste


  1. Marinate the fish with all spices except curry leaves for 4 - 8hours.
  2. In a non stick pan take some oil, add curry leaves along with the fish slices and fry on medium to low flame.
  3. Curry leaves gives good aroma to the fish while frying.
  4. The semolina absorbs excess moisture and when cooked on medium to low flame makes the fish slightly crunchy.
