About Semolina cake Recipe

A healthy twist to flour cakes!

Semolina cake

Ingredients to make Semolina cake

  • 2 & a 1/2 cup - semolina
  • 1 & a 1/2 cup - sugar
  • 1 cup - milk
  • 1 cup - curd
  • 1 cup - vegetable oil
  • 1 cup - Tutti frutti
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 1 & a 1/2 tsp - baking powder
  • 1 tsp - soda

How to make Semolina cake

  1. In a big bowl add semolina, sugar, oil, curd, milk and mix well and rest for 10 minutes as semolina will ferment.
  2. Meanwhile, grease a baking tray and preheat the oven.
  3. In the semolina mix add tutti frutti and vanilla essence, mix well.
  4. Add in the baking powder and soda, mix well again.
  5. Pour into the baking dish and bake for 45 minutes at 160°C.
  6. Your cake is ready when a tooth pick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  7. Cool on a wire rack and serve warm.

My Tip:

Can also be baked in a cooker.

ma'am had tried the cake it came out well but instead of oil can we use ghee as my maa doesnot like the smell of oil from the cake
