I have been following Betterbutter for a long time now. I always wanted to participate in one of these competitions, but sometimes I passed deadlines and sometimes I did not get any apt recipe. Before going further, let me tell you that I am not married and not at all a mother. Still, this particular contest attracted me to submit one of my creations. The moment I read that it calls for kid-friendly recipes, all the childhood dishes just flashed in my mind. Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 cup - grated fresh coconut
  2. Little less than 1/2 cup full - cream milk
  3. 3 tsps - sugar (adjust according to taste)
  4. 2 tsps - ghee
  5. For garnishing: cardamom powder (optional)
  6. Chopped almonds (optional)


  1. Take a pan and heat it. Put ghee and cardamom powder.
  2. Once you start getting the aroma, put the grated coconut and roast a little.
  3. Once milk starts to boil and the mixture starts getting a little thick, add sugar.
  4. Let it cook a little on simmer.
  5. Add chopped almonds and let your kids have a healthy and yummy dish.
