ABOUT The little hearts RECIPE

The little hearts...... which are very delicious in taste, literally melts in mouth and having combo flavours of sweet & sour. No doubt, it will steal the hearts of our kids ! They are deep fried in oil and can be eaten within 4-5 days if kept in Air tight container. Best to serve as a tea time snacks.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Wheat flour 2 cups
  2. Semolina/Rawa 1 1/2 cups
  3. Beaten curd 1 cup
  4. Sugar powder ( sugar grinded in mixer ) 1 1/2 cups
  5. Baking Powder 1 tsp
  6. Ghee 1 tbsp
  7. Salt 1/4 tsp
  8. Nutmeg powder 1/2 tsp
  9. Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  10. Oil for deep frying
  11. Maida/All purpose flour 1/2 cup for dusting at the time of rolling
  12. Blanched and then chopped almonds 10-12
  13. Cashewnuts chopped 7-8

Instructions

  1. In a plate take Wheat flour, Semolina. Add ghee and baking powder and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add curd, ground sugar, nutmeg powder, cardamom powder, almonds, cashew nuts.
  3. Knead well. Do not add water. Make a firm dough.
  4. Keep this dough in a vessel covered with a lid. Keep it for 3 hours.
  5. After 3 hrs. Again knead the dough well.
  6. Take out a big ball out of dough ( as much big as we take for a bhakri ). Dust in maida and start to Roll into a thick roti.
  7. Cut it with cookies cutter into heart shapes.
  8. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry on a medium flame till it gets nice golden brown colour.
