ABOUT Khamni RECIPE

This is a dish prepared from leftover dhoklas. Many times we have guests at home and so many dishes are prepared and we have to eat the same thing next day. This khamni tastes delicious and the dhoklas are nicely recycled:-)

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Prepared dhoklas- 1 cup
  2. Onion- 1 medium
  3. Oil- 1 tbsp
  4. Cumin Seeds- 1 tsp
  5. Lemon juice- 1 tsp
  6. Sugar- 1 tsp
  7. Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
  8. Turmeric- 1/2 tsp
  9. Salt- as per taste
  10. Sev for garnishing
  11. Coriander for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Crumble the dhoklas nicely with hands.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds.
  3. Add finely chopped onions. Let them cook properly.
  4. Now add turmeric and chilli powder.
  5. Add crumbled dhokla mixture, lemon juice, sugar, salt.
  6. Add a spoon of water to prevent sticking of dhokla to bottom of pan.
  7. Mix properly. You don't need to cook much as dhoklas are already cooked.
  8. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves and fine sev.
