Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 4 parwal
  2. makhana 1 bowl
  3. 1 onion
  4. 1 tomato
  5. 1 inch ginger
  6. red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  7. 1/2 spoon cumin
  8. coriander powder 1spoon
  9. 4 cloves
  10. garam masala 1/2 teaspoon
  11. turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  12. desi ghee (for preparing and frying)
  13. salt (according to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare a paste of tomato, onion, garlic, cumin, and ginger and keep aside.
  2. Cut parwal in circular shape and deep fry till golden brown.
  3. Put some ghee in a pan and roast the makhana (or you can deep fry also).
  4. Heat 3 spoons desi ghee in a pan. Add cloves. Now add the paste which was prepared in step one and cook till masala separates from ghee.
  5. Now add garam masala, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, makhana, parwal and 1 cup water and mix and cook for 8-10 minutes on sim flame.
  6. Now remove from flame and serve with chappati or pooris.
