ABOUT Grilled Pineapple Salad RECIPE

Pineapple is a very versatile fruit which can be used as an ingredient for many food preparations. They taste amazing eaten just like that. But grilling them does bring out the brighter side of the pineapples. The aroma of the caramelized pineapples does wonders to food. The grilled pineapple salad is a balanced riot of flavors with the taste of pineapples marinated in ginger garlic paste along with lime juice and parsley. Topped with chat masala and coriander.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ripened pineapple 1 piece cut into 1/2″ thick pieces.
  2. Ginger garlic paste 2 tablespoon
  3. Black salt a few pinches
  4. Chat masala 1 teaspoon
  5. Fresh parsley 1 bunch finely chopped
  6. Black pepper freshly crushed 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Green chili 1 piece finely crushed
  8. Lemon juice from 1 lemon or as to taste
  9. Spring onions 2 to 3 pieces finely chopped along with the leaves
  10. Fresh coriander 1/2 bowl finely chopped
  11. Bread loaf broken into rough pieces 10 to 12 pieces
  12. Cherry tomato 8 to 10 pieces cut into 4 pieces each
  13. Green peas steamed or boiled 2 table spoon
  14. Butter 2 table spoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to high temperature.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the ginger garlic paste, crushed green chili, black salt, black pepper, parsley, butter and 1/2 of the lemon juice to get the marinade ready.
  3. Marinate the pineapple pieces with the marinade.
  4. Take a grilling pan and coat it with a big sheet of aluminum foil. Coat the foil with butter.
  5. Lay out the marinated pineapples on the sheet well spread.
  6. Top with the chopped coriander and grill the pineapples for 10 to 12 minutes so that the pineapples become soft and you get the amazing aroma of all the ingredients.
  7. Take a big bowl and mix the grilled pineapples with the boiled peas, spring onions, cherry tomatoes, lemon juice and top with the pieces of the bread loaf. Toss well.
  8. Serve warm garnished with coriander and black salt and enjoy the mouth watering grilled pineapple salad.
