Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Leftover cooked rice one cup
  2. Whole wheat flour 1/2 cup
  3. Besan flour 3 tbs
  4. Turmeric one teaspoon
  5. Red chilli powder 2 teaspoon
  6. Dhania jeera powder 2 teaspoon
  7. Whole dry red chilli 1
  8. Salt
  9. Green chilli ginger garlic paste 2 teaspoon
  10. Sugar 1 teaspoon
  11. Oil one tablespoon
  12. Onion 1 small chopped
  13. For gravy:
  14. Curd 1/2 cup
  15. Oil 3 tablespoon
  16. Mustard seeds one teaspoon
  17. Asafoetida 1/4 teaspoon
  18. Turmeric 1 teaspoon
  19. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  20. Chilli ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  21. Salt for taste
  22. Sugar 2 teaspoon
  23. Water 2 cup
  24. Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Mix rice, both flours, salt, sugar, red chilli powder, turmeric, oil, chilli ginger garlic paste, onion and make a soft dough. No need of water to make dough, rice will give it enough moisture.
  2. Make small balls from the dough.
  3. In a kadai heat oil, add mustard seed for tempering.
  4. Add asafoetida, chilli ginger garlic paste, turmeric, red chilli powder and whole dry red chilli.
  5. Add water in above tadka and allow it to boil.
  6. When water starts boiling add rice muthia in it, add remaining spices and salt cover the kadai with lid. Cook for 10 minutes .
  7. After 10 minutes add sugar and curd, cook for another 2 minutes.
  8. Hot Spicy Dahi wala Rasiya Muthia is ready to serve. Garnish with chopped coriander.
