Ingredients to make Paneer jalfrezi

  • paneer 200 grams
  • oil 2 tspn
  • cumin seeds 1 tspn
  • Red dried chillies 2-3
  • onion (cut into strips) 1 medium
  • tomato (deseeded and cut into strips) 1 medium
  • Green capsicum (cut into strips) 1/2 medium
  • red chilli powder 1 tspn
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tspn
  • green chillies chopped 2
  • ginger ( cut into Julienne) 1 inch
  • vinegar 1 tspn
  • salt to taste
  • tomato sauce 1/2 cup
  • water 1 cup
  • Garam masala power 1/2 tspn
  • coriander sprigs for garnish

How to make Paneer jalfrezi

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and red chillies and saute until cumin turns brown
  2. Cut paneer into batons or thick strips
  3. Add tomato, onion and capsicum strips and saute them
  4. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, ginger and green chillies and saute to mix them
  5. Add vinegar and toss again
  6. Add tomato sauce and cook for a minute
  7. Add paneer, salt and garam masala and toss and mix again
  8. Add a 1/2 cup water or little
  9. Finish the dish by adding chopped coriander.
  10. Serve hot

My Tip:

Saute on medium hot heat to have crunchy veggies . .
