White Dhokla

Ingredients to make White Dhokla

  • Rava. 200 grams
  • Sour curd. 200 ml
  • Finely chopped ginger half tbsp
  • Finely chopped green chilli half tbsp
  • salt. as per taste
  • Eno. 1 sachet
  • For tempering:
  • oil. 3 tbsp
  • mustard seeds (rai). 1 tsp
  • curry leaves. 8 to 10
  • Slit green chillies. 3 4
  • water as required
  • Chopped coriander leaves. 2 tbsp

How to make White Dhokla

  1. Mix curd, rava, ginger and green chillies. Add some water if required to make a medium batter. Keep aside for 15 to 20 mins
  2. Now add eno and a spoon of water over it mix with light hands. Pour in a greased dhokla plate and steam it for 15 mins. Take out from the steamer after 5 mins cut in squares. Dhokla is ready
  3. For tempering put oil in a pan, when oil becomes hot, add rai, curry leaves, green chillies, add some water and pour this tempering on the dhoklas. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves..
  4. Serve these yummy dhoklas with tomato sauce or dhaniya or coconut chutney.
