ABOUT Palak paneer RECIPE

Very healthy and nutritious combination of protein and calcium rich paneer with vitamin rich spinach.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Spinach- 500 gms
  2. Cottage cheese/ paneer-150 gms
  3. ginger chilli and garlic paste- 1 tbsp
  4. Onions- 2 (paste)
  5. Ghee- 1 tbsp
  6. salt as per taste
  7. lemon juice- 1 tsp
  8. cream for garnishing


  1. Clean and chop spinach roughly.
  2. Take a vessel in which you can boil spinach. Add just 2 spoons water.
  3. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Let it cool. Then blend it with blender.
  5. Take a pan. Add ghee and as it heats up, add the ginger garlic paste. Saute for a minute.
  6. Now add onion paste and saute till raw smell goes.
  7. Add the spinach and paneer pieces .
  8. Add salt and lime juice, mix and just let it simmer for a minute. Switch off the gas and just before serving garnish with cream. Serve hot with parathas, jeera rice, naan etc.
