Besan pakodas dipped in a gravy of spicy curd and besan

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For the gravy:
  2. Thick beaten curd - 2 cups
  3. Water - 4 cups
  4. Salt - to taste
  5. Sugar - 1 tsp
  6. Dhaniya powder-1 tsp
  7. Jeera powder - 1 tsp
  8. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  9. Haldi powder - 1 tsp
  10. Chilli powder - 1 tsp or according to taste.
  11. For the pakodas:
  12. Besan - 5 tbsp
  13. Chopped onion - 1
  14. Chopped coriander for garnishing
  15. Chopped green chilli for spiciness
  16. Ghee 2 tbsp + 1 tbsp for tempering
  17. Chopped coriander for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Combine curd and water.
  2. Add all the dry spices and mix well.
  3. Saute chopped onions, tomatoes, ginger garlic paste till oil separates.
  4. Add curd and water batter and bring it to a boil.
  5. Simmer for 10 mins.
  6. Make pakodas with pakoda ingredients and add the same in curd mixture.
  7. Temper with hing and jeera
