Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Soy beans 2 cups boiled in salted water
  2. Potato 1 big cubed
  3. Onion 1 big sliced
  4. Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  5. Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
  6. Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
  7. Curry powder 1 tsp
  8. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  9. Green chilli paste 1/2 tsp
  10. Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  11. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  12. Salt as per taste
  13. Whole garam masala 1 tsp
  14. Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
  15. Curry leaves few
  16. Coconut milk thick 1 cup
  17. Oil 1 tsp
  18. Ghee 1/3 tsp

Instructions

  1. Boil soy beans in salt water for 15 mins
  2. Strain and keep aside
  3. Cut potatoes in cubes
  4. Fry them until red, keep aside
  5. Heat oil, splutter whole garam masala and whole cumin seeds
  6. Add curry leaves, asafoetida and chopped onion
  7. Saute for 3_4 mins
  8. Add garlic and ginger paste
  9. Saute for some time
  10. Add turmeric powder, curry powder, chilli powder and a tsp water
  11. Saute for 3_4 mins
  12. Add chopped tomatoes and salt
  13. Cook until tomatoes are soft
  14. Now add fried potatoes and soy beans
  15. Mix well with spices
  16. Add coconut milk and 1/2 cup water
  17. Add green chilli
  18. Boil soy beans in the gravy for 10_15 mins in low heat
  19. Now add garam masala
  20. Add ghee
  21. Switch off gas
  22. Serve hot
