ABOUT 3 Dal Bombs RECIPE

Spicy dal dumplings. A good combination for rasam, curd rice.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1/4 cup toor dal (togari bele)
  2. 1/4 cup lobia (alasande kalu)
  3. 1/4 cup chana dal (kadle bele)
  4. 6- 8 green chillies​ finely chopped
  5. 2 medium onions finely chopped
  6. Little coriander leaves finely chopped​
  7. Little curry leaves finely chopped
  8. 1/2 teaspoon jeera
  9. 1 tablespoon rice flour
  10. 1 tablespoon corn flour
  11. Salt as required
  12. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak all the 3 dal for atleast 3 hours or till it's soft.
  2. In a blender, add all the 3 dal and grind to a smooth paste. Do not add too much water. The batter should be bit thick (bonda consistency). Transfer the mixture to a bowl.
  3. To the bowl add finely chopped onions, green chilli, coriander leaves, curry leaves, salt, jeera, rice flour, corn flour and mix well. Check for seasoning.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai. Make small balls of the prepared mixture and fry it in oil till golden brown.
  5. Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
