Ingredients to make Moong dal square

  • moong dal with skin 2 cup soaked
  • salt to taste
  • asafoetida 1 pinch
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Dry mango powder 2 tsp
  • Chopped green chilli 4 no
  • Chopped ginger 1 tsp
  • cornflour 1 tbsp
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • For dip hung curd 2 cup
  • coriander leaves chopped 1 tbsp
  • Green chili 2 no
  • salt 1 pinch
  • lemon juice 1 tsp
  • coriander for garnishing

How to make Moong dal square

  1. MAKE DIP: Make a paste with salt, coriander, green chili, lemon juice. Whip the curd and mix the paste in the whipped curd.
  2. MAKE SQUARE : Wash the dal and clean the skin, blend the dal with ginger, garlic and make a smooth paste.
  3. Add salt, red chili, cumin powder, dry mango powder and asafoetida in dal puree mix it. Heat a non-stick pan, cook it with stirring continuously.
  4. Cool the mixture and add cornflour make a soft dough with the mixture, cool and make square and roll it on a plastic sheet .
  5. cut the square, now heat the non-stick pan and shallow fry until golden and crisp. Garnish with dip and coriander leaves.
