Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Idli – 3 (or) 4 medium
  2. onion – 1 large
  3. capsicum – 1 small
  4. tomato – 2
  5. Chilli powder + coriander powder – 1 tbs
  6. turmeric powder – ĵ tsp
  7. Curry leaves
  8. oil – 1tsp
  9. Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
  10. coriander leaves chopped – 1 tbsp
  11. salt to taste


  1. Cut idlis into small pieces. Chop onion, capsicum and tomatoes. Take kadai/wok and heat oil.
  2. Pop in mustard seeds, when they start to splutter add chopped onions and fry till transparent. Now add tomato pieces and fry for a minute.
  3. To this add chili and coriander powder along with turmeric powder and salt. Combine and add capsicum pieces.
  4. Add in idli pieces when tomatoes turn soft. Mix and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from flame and add chopped coriander leaves.
