Ingredients to make Triveni ladoo

  • 1 cup chana daal (split Bengal gram)
  • 1 cup moong daal (split green gram)
  • 1 cup urad daal (split black gram)
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cups desi ghee (clarified butter)
  • 2 tea spoon cardamom powder
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (almond, pistachio and cashew)
  • 1/4 cup kishmish
  • 1 cup water

How to make Triveni ladoo

  1. Wash all the three daal separately.
  2. Soak all the daal in the milk for overnight (soak every daal separately)
  3. Grind all the soaked daal separately.
  4. Heat a thick bottomed pan or kadai on a low flame, then add dal.
  5. Keep the flame on low or sim and begin to roast the grind dal
  6. Roast all the dal separately and then mix them in a big vessel.
  7. Mix sugar a day water, boil it till it becomes little thick syrup (ek Taar ki chashni)
  8. Roast the khoya on slow flame, till it becomes pink.
  9. Roast all the dry fruits, except kishmish and add to the roasted dal mixture.
  10. Add cardamom powder and chashni to the roasted dal mixture.
  11. Mix all the ingredients very nicely.
  12. Let the mixture comes on room temperature then make ladoos.

My Tip:

Roast all the grind dal separately because ever dal take it own time to get properly roast.
