ABOUT Qamardeen - Dried Apricot Leather Drink RECIPE

This drink is a regular in the UAE and other Middle Eastern countries during Ramadan.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 400 gm pack qamardeen sheet
  2. 3 cups warm water
  3. 1 tbsp orange blossom water
  4. Cold water as required
  5. Pine nuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. Tear the qamardeen sheets into pieces. Soak it in the warm water for two hours.
  2. Add the softened sheets along with the soaked water and orange blossom water into a blender and blitz.
  3. Chill for half an hour. Add cold water and stir to adjust thickness. Serve garnished with pine nuts.
