Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chickpeas (soaked & boiled) - 1/2 cup
  2. Spinach (blanched and pureed) - 1 cup
  3. Chopped onion - 1
  4. Ginger garlic paste- 2 tsp
  5. Dry red chillies - 2
  6. Jeera- 1 tsp
  7. Tomato (chopped) - 1
  8. Jeera Powder - 1 tsp
  9. Red chilly powder- 1 tsp
  10. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  11. Kasturi methi - 1 tsp
  12. Crushed Kaju/cashew - 1 tbsp
  13. Bay leaf- 1
  14. Refined oil
  15. Salt

Instructions

  1. Heat a kadhai with refined oil. As the bay leaf, dry red chillies and jeera.
  2. Once they smell, add the chopped onion.
  3. Saute till golden brown and then add the ginger garlic paste. Saute for few minutes.
  4. Now add the tomatoes, powder masalas and salt.
  5. Once the masala leaves oil, add the boiled chick peas and cook further.
  6. Then add spinach puree and cook further.
  7. Add a little water for gravy and cook till done. Check for salt and serve with crushed Kaju/cashew sprinkled over it.
