Moong Dal Kulfi

Ingredients to make Moong Dal Kulfi

  • Dhuli moong dal 1/ &1/2 tbsp
  • Full cream milk 1 litre
  • Milk made 1/2 tin
  • Green cardamom 2 no
  • Yellow food color 1/2tsp
  • Desi ghee 2tbsp
  • melon seeds 1/2 cup
  • Chopped cashew nut 1 tbsp (optional )

How to make Moong Dal Kulfi

  1. Wash and soak the dal for 10 minutes and then drain the water, dry roast the melon seeds then keep aside. Heat the ghee in a pan then fry the dal till it becomes lightly golden.
  2. Now make a smooth paste with melon seeds, cardamom and dal by adding a little water.
  3. Boil milk in a heavy bottom pan.Add prepared paste, nut & food colour.Stir continuously till it turns thick.Switch off and strain it.
  4. Cool and pour into the mould, refrigerate it for 4 to 6 hours. Serve chilled.

My Tip:

we can also add some chopped pistachio.
