ABOUT Thandai RECIPE

It's a traditional summer coolant prepared with exotic nuts and spices.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 4& 1/2 cups of full fat milk, boiled & cooled
  2. 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  3. A pinch of black pepper powder
  4. A few saffron strands
  5. To make fine powder:
  6. 1/4 cup of almonds
  7. 2 tbsp poppy seeds
  8. 2 tbsp fennel seeds
  9. 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder
  10. 20 white pepper corns
  11. 2tsp rose water
  12. Few rose petals for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Add the grinded powder with milk
  2. Mix well and refrigerate for 1-2 hours
  3. Strain through a strainer in another vessel.
  4. Add sugar, black pepper powder, saffron strands, rose water and mix well.
  5. Refrigerate it for a couple of hours again.
  6. Serve chilled and add rose petals while serving.
