ABOUT Aloo gosht shorba RECIPE

It's a one my family's favourite easy peasy recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 kg Mutton
  2. 2 Big potatoes
  3. 1 big onion chopped
  4. 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  5. 1 tbsp Garam masala powder
  6. 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
  7. 1 tbsp Turmeric powder
  8. 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  9. 1 tbsp Kashmiri Red chilli powder
  10. 2-3 tbsp Thick curd
  11. 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
  12. 1 tbsp Black pepper corn
  13. 1 big Black Cardomom
  14. Few bay leaves
  15. Oil for cooking
  16. Chopped Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Wash mutton with fresh water & drain, keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a cooker, add chopped onions and fry golden, then add cumin seeds, black pepper, bay leaves and fry.
  3. Add mutton with ginger garlic paste, cook till raw smell vanishes.
  4. Add all the spices powder, leaving Garam masala and roast well, add curd too and mix well.
  5. Add little water to cook meat pieces, close cooker lid & let it whistle two times and simmer the flame.
  6. After a while switch off the gas and let it cool.
  7. Open and check & add poatoes if it's not done can open cook for a few more minutes, lastly add garam masala powder, garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Enjoy with roti or naan.

Awesome :P How long did do we fry the meat for? before covering the lid?
