Watermelon Iced Tea

ABOUT Watermelon Iced Tea RECIPE

Watermelon is cooling for the stomach. Adding a bit of tea and mint or basil makes it an exotic drink.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup Fresh watermelon juice
  2. 10 -12 mint or Basil leaves
  3. 1 cup water
  4. 1 tea bag
  5. 2 tsp sugar
  6. A pinch of salt
  7. Ice cubes to serve
  8. 1-2 tbsp of finely chopped watermelon (optional)


  1. Boil the water. Add tea and mint or basil leaves. Cover and let the tea steep for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the tea bag. Leave for extra 5 minutes if you want a stronger tea flavour.
  3. Let the tea cool down a bit.
  4. Add the sugar, salt and water melon juice. Mix and chill till required.
  5. Remove the leaves.To serve, add ice cubes to the glass and pour the iced tea over it.
  6. Add finely chopped watermelon and decorate with mint or basil leaves and serve.
