Ingredients to make Fish fingers

  • 250 gm Sole fish fillet 1/4- 1/2 thick
  • Marination Ingredients:
  • -- 2 limes juice
  • --1 tsp garlic paste
  • -- 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  • -- 1 egg
  • -- 1/2 tsp mustard powder
  • -- 1 tsp Ketchup
  • -- 1 tsp Corn flour
  • -- 1 tsp maida
  • --1 tsp Black pepper freshly grounded
  • --1/2 tsp chicken powder
  • Bread Crumbs - 1 packet of good quality
  • Chaat masala to sprinkle
  • salt to taste

How to make Fish fingers

  1. Coat the fish fillet with white vinegar for 10 minutes. Then wash and dry them on paper towels.
  2. Cut the fillet into approx 3" long fish fingers.
  3. Mix all the listed marination ingredients along with salt, coat the fish with this marination and keep it in the fridge for 1 hour.
  4. After 1 hour, remove the fish from the fridge and coat it lightly with bread crumbs.
  5. Take a deep frying pan and add enough oil required to deep fry.
  6. Once the oil is medium hot, fry the fish for 5 minutes till its golden brown in colour.
  7. Sprinkle with Chaat Masala on top before serving.
  8. Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or tartar sauce.
