Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 500 gm palak
  2. 1 inch ginger
  3. 6 cloves of garlic
  4. 1 tomato (medium size)
  5. 3 green chillies
  6. 1 onion
  7. Salt according to taste
  8. 1/2 spoon garam masala (optional)
  9. 1/4 cup water
  10. 4 tablespoon desi ghee
  11. Paneer 250 gm (cut in small pieces)

Instructions

  1. Wash the palak and remove the leaves from the stem. Put the palak,ginger, garlic and green chillies with a little water in a pressure cooker. Cook on high flame and wait till one whistle blows, then remove from flame.
  2. After it cools down, grind and make a paste (palak purée).
  3. Pour the ghee in a pressure cooker. Put in the chopped onions and fry till they turn golden brown.
  4. Put in the chopped tomato, salt and garam masala. Cook till the ghee separates, then add the palak purée and wait for 1 whistle.
  5. Turn off the gas. Wait for the removal of pressure.
  6. Add in the paneer pieces and serve hot. If you want, you can also garnish with cream.
