Moong Dal Mini Tawa Pizza

Ingredients to make Moong Dal Mini Tawa Pizza

  • For batter :
  • moong dal 1 cup
  • ginger: 1 inch
  • Green chilli: 2
  • salt to taste
  • coriander leaves: 2 tbsp
  • water: 1/4 cup or as needed
  • For topping :
  • onion: 1 small, thinly sliced
  • tomato: 1 small, thinly sliced
  • capsicum: 1 small, thinly sliced
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli powder to taste
  • Oregano to taste
  • coriander leaves: 3-4 tbsp chopped
  • Mozzarella cheese : 3 tbsp grated
  • Pizza sauce as needed
  • tomato ketchup as needed

How to make Moong Dal Mini Tawa Pizza

  1. Clean and wash moong dal with water.
  2. Soak it in water for 7 hrs. Drain it.
  3. Take a mixer jar add drained moong dal, ginger and green chilli.
  4. Add water little by little.
  5. Beat it to a smooth batter.
  6. The batters should be thick but be pouring.
  7. Transfer the batter into the bowl.
  8. Add salt and coriander leaves.
  9. Mix well.
  10. Heat Tawa on medium flame.
  11. Drizzle very little oil on sides.
  12. Switch the flame to slow.
  13. Pour a ladle full of batter on Tawa.
  14. Do not spread.
  15. Drizzle a little oil on sides.
  16. Cover the Tawa with lid and cook on slow flame.
  17. After 3-4 mins sides of the pizza base will be little dry and it will fluff a little, then turn the side.
  18. Again drizzle a very little oil on sides and cook on slow flame for 3-4 min.
  19. Then turn the side.
  20. Spread pizza sauce, then tomato ketchup on it.
  21. Place, onion, tomato and capsicum on it.
  22. Sprinkle salt, red chilli powder and oregano on it.
  23. Spread mozzarella cheese and top with coriander leaves.
  24. Cover pizza with lid and cook on slow flame for 2-3 min.
  25. When the cheese is melted, transfer it to a serving plate.
  26. Moong dal mini Tawa pizza is ready to serve.
  27. Serve hot.

Seasoning and vegetables of your choice can be added
