ABOUT Chickpea Savory Parfait RECIPE

Who says parfait can only be sweet. Try out this lovely savoury parfait made with chickpeas and yogurt, you will be left craving for more.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup -Boiled chickpeas
  2. 3/4 cup - Hung curd
  3. 1/2 cup - Soaked raisins
  4. 1 tsp- Oil
  5. 1/2 tsp - Roasted cumin powder
  6. 1/2 tsp - Red chili powder
  7. 1/2 tsp - Dry mango powder
  8. 1/2 tsp - Salt
  9. Chopped coriander - 1 teaspoon
  10. Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add chickpeas and saute for 1 min. Then add cumin powder, red chili powder, salt and saute for 1-2 mins more. Add dry mango powder and switch off the gas and keep aside to cool.
  2. Add salt, pepper powder and chopped coriander to the hung curd and keep aside.
  3. To assemble : In a tall glass make the bottom layer with raisins. Press them a little tightly. Then make the 2nd layer of chickpeas. Leave some for garnishing. Top this with the hung curd layer.
  4. Garnish with leftover chickpeas and coriander. Serve cold.
