Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Kala Chana - ½ cup
  2. Green Matar - ½ cup 
  3. Potatoes - 1 large
  4. Onion - 1 chopped 
  5. Tomato - 1 chopped 
  6. Green & Red chilies - 2-3 chopped or as per your taste 
  7. Ginger - ½ inch chopped
  8. Coriander leaves - 2-3 tbsp chopped 
  9. Chili powder - 1 tsp 
  10. Cumin powder - ½ tsp 
  11. Garam masala powder - ½ tsp 
  12. Pepper powder - to taste 
  13. Salt - to taste 
  14. Mustard oil - 1 tbsp
  15. Juice of half a lemon
  16. Water - ½ cup

Instructions

  1. Soak the channa and matar for 3-4 hours. In a pressure cooker add the peeled potato, soaked chana and matar, and half a cup of water. Pressure cook till 2 whistles and let the pressure release by itself. 
  2. In a pressure cooker add the peeled potato, soaked channa and matar, add half cup water and pressure cook for 2 whistles and let the pressure release by itself. 
  3. In a bowl mix together chilies, tomatoes, coriander leaves, ginger, and onions. In another bowl add the pressure cooked chana, matar and chopped potatoes. Add all the remaining ingredients except lemon juice and mix well.  Squeeze the juice of lemon just before serving.
  4. Enjoy this healthy and chatpata chana - matar chat anytime of the day.
