ABOUT Basket Chat RECIPE

My mom has been preparing this dish since my childhood and thus inspired me to do the same.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Whole moong - 250 grams
  2. Boiled potatoes - 2-4
  3. Sev - for garnishing
  4. Onion - 2
  5. Mango (sour) Chutney - 1 cup
  6. Sweet chutney - 1 cup
  7. Pomegranate seeds - 1 cup
  8. Chat masala - 2 tablespoon
  9. Salt for taste
  10. Coriander leaves for garnishing
  11. Refined flour
  12. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Boil the moong dal and potatoes together.
  2. Peel the potatoes and separate them.
  3. Add the salt as per the taste and chat masala to moong.
  4. Kneed the refined flour properly.
  5. Then, make small balls and thus convert them into baskets with help of small bowl.
  6. Fry those baskets nicely till they are golden brown.
  7. Put the moong in the basket and add little chutney, sev onions for garnishing purpose. Also add some pomegranate seeds and coriander leaves to it.
